The Huella Andina is the first long distance trail in Argentina in Northern Patagonia. With a total of 570 km. it connects the Aluminé Lake in the northern end, with the Baguilt Lake at the southern end, crossing several provinces: Neuquén, Rio Negro and Chubut and visiting five National Parks: Lanín, Nahuel Huapi, Los Arrayanes, Lago Puelo and Los Alerces.

The trail goes along the Northpatagonian Andean Biosphere Reserve, declared by UNESCO in 2007, and has a unique set of trail markings (light blue and white, like our flag) and has big signs at the trailheads for each section.

These trails were reopened from old historic paths used by the first settlers and are designed mainly for hikers with little experience, allowing them to explore this unique landscapes at a leisurely pace.

In Nahuel Huapi National Park, accessing from Bariloche, one can enjoy the Huella Andina, connecting its different legs or individually which can also be done in the opposite direction from South to North.
