DESCRIPTION
The trailhead is 400 mts. away from La Querencia campground, next to the Llodconto bridge on the road to Tronador peak.
The first 9.5 km. follow a vehicle road, only official use, up to the Boock house. From here the trail continues through their land via the corrals. Be careful to always leave the gates well closed.
Continue hiking along a pretty flat area following the Huella Andina markings. You will encounter lots of marshlands and small creeks along the whole valley you are traversing.
Towards the end the trail heads down through a coihue and cipres forest to the lake and campground.
This trail can also be done in the opposite direction starting at Steffen and finishing at Lake Mascardi.
If you wish to continue South there is the next Huella Andina section.
To improve the trekking experience, it is recommended to contact a Mountain Guide authorized by the AAGM (Argentine Association of Mountain Guides)
